Award-winning filmmaker Daniel Watts is Director of Programming for
Undergroundfilm, the longest-running film site on the web. He lives and works in San Francisco. His proudest achievement is having received a mention in the film

Lisa Thompson
Lisa has produced the 48 Hour Film Project for 3 years, formerly in Phoenix and now in San Diego. This vast experience has led to two important beliefs -- a good story trumps everything, and no one ever leaves enough time for rendering. In her own creative life,
Lisa produces, shoots, and edits documentaries about pressing social issues and sometimes just fun stuff. When she grows up, Lisa hopes to make a living as a Director of Photography for documentaries. Her work has appeared on CurrentTV, National Geographic International, Fox Reality, and other cable networks.
Jason Francois
Owner of the production company,
Black Suit Studios, and a staff member of the A3F,
Jason is an accomplished filmmaker with a nationally distributed feature film on his resume and several award-winning shorts and commercials. Jason's experience in indie films and festivals has been invaluable for the A3F.
Kai Staats
A graduate of Arizona State University, College of Architecture and Environmental Design, Industrial Design, Kai Staats is co-founder and CEO of
Terra Soft Solutions, a Colorado-based open-source software development firm that produces the famed operating system Yellow Dog Linux. Film-wise, Kai brings writing, directing and project management experience to the A3F.
Jae Staats
After a successful run of more than 12 years working for the Phoenix Suns, Jae left his job as head video scout and started,
BallBoy Productions, a leading digital video production company. In 2005, Jae created the A3F and in just three short years has turned this film challenge into one of the most successful events in the country.
